MEV is the value a block producer or searcher can earn beyond standard fees by influencing transaction order. In the context of meme-coin trading, MEV most commonly appears as sandwich attacks (buying ahead of a known trade and selling into it), front-running on new launches, and backrunning large pool movements. Routing choices and private-order flow can reduce exposure to MEV, but not eliminate it.
